Animation is done! But what colour will ladybot be??

Another colour concept....somethings not sitting right..i think the red might just win.

Finally all the hand drawn stuff is completed! My robot is ready to go into the computer and get a small make over. we've been looking at possible colour pallets for a while so hopefully all should fit into place. we've got the basics as red and black but it still need a few tests before given the go ahead.

Animation sequences

All this week has seen my 2D character begin the task of animating, within the 30 seconds 2D will run alongside 3D, jump and glide with the sequence ending back at the finishing line. So far a run cycle from the front has been completed with a cycle from the back underway as well as her scene at the starting line, her fold to stretch and her glide. After the animations are complete they will be coloured but until then the tedious task of making her move continues.

A few more drawings planning out what she was to look like. these didn't make the final cut since some of the designs would have been tricky and too time consuming to animate.

3O Second vignette

The first in many posts for the 30 second vignette project to mark how it is progressing. To get the ball rolling here we have some of the female robot concept art.. So far we have managed to finalise both the female and male androids. The style is simple and bold following inspiration taken from looking at artwork by an artist called Amose. Each robot has their own defining features, our ladybot almost feline and elegant in movement but restricted some what by her 2D appearance. The Manbot (pat's creation as seen on his blog) larger and heavy looking, his silhouette strong and in 3D to contrast. Both these characters will be shown in a maya environment, and both will run through the space tackling obsticles as they travel.
